Short Take: Debate coming over Net gambling

The legality of Net gambling will be debated Wednesday during a hearing scheduled by the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime. At the center of the hearing is the Internet Gambling Prohibition Act, a bill that would amend the federal Wire Act, which makes it illegal to place or accept wagers over telephone wires, to include the Net.
