CDNow said it is offering 13,000 secure music downloads for sale by popular artists such as Beck and Jerry Garcia. By mid-December, it expects to add another 50,000 downloads. Visitors to CDNow can browse through popular downloads and find free downloads. Songs for sale range in price from $1.49 to $3.49 per track.
