Short Take: CA, NCR plan alliance

Computer Associates and NCR will hold a press conference in New York tomorrow to announce a comprehensive alliance. NCR, a leader in data warehousing systems, may gain some database and enterprise management integration with the CA agreement. CA has already said it will incorporate NCR's LifeKeeper high-availability technology in an upcoming release of Unicenter.
