Pegasystems enters process automation
Pegasystems, which specializes in business rules automation software, is seeking to branch out from its core financial service customers with an expanded product line. The 20-year-old Cambridge, Mass.-based company on Tuesday announced the availability of version 4 of its PegaRules Process Commander product.
The software automates complex business processes with tools to design and execute work flow, using its "rules engine" server software to codify business interactions such as call center inquiries or insurance claims. The release, which Pegasystems calls the most significant in its history, is designed to appeal to businesses in various industries.
