New system will Connect businesses
Electronic commerce software vendor Connect plans to unveil later this month a management system for conducting business-to-business transactions over the Internet.
Aimed at resellers and distributors, OneServer OrderStream will allow businesses to quickly set up electronic storefronts that provide real-time inventory checks and order processing without requiring custom programming, according to the company.
The product is built on top of Connect's OneSever software, a Unix-based Web server that includes an Oracle 7 database. OrderStream is priced starting at $140,000 and is to ship in June.
OrderStream will join a series of new products and services intended to help companies conduct transactions, such as supplies purchasing, with other businesses over the Net.
