Launch Media secures funding

Online music company Launch Media says it has completed a $2 million short-term secured debt financing from a major media company. Launch would not disclose the name of the company. Launch provides a music site called Launch.com that offers music fans streaming audio, a collection of music videos, artist information and music news. Last year, the Santa Monica, Calif.-based company partnered with Yahoo, Softbank and Tokyo Broadcasting System to develop a Japanese version of its music Web site. See complete list.
