Warning Dropbox fans -- the file-uploading service is currently borked, with the site displaying an error message.

Handy site 'Is it down right now?' suggests the service is offline for everyone, with servers not responding. The blue-box cloud storage company's error page says "your files are still safe" though, so no need to panic.

While writing this story the service came briefly back online, but is now stuck in its broken stage once more. Let us know whether Dropbox is working -- or broken -- for you in the comments or on Facebook.

Fingers crossed the service is back up and running soon. We've asked Dropbox for more information on what went wrong, and we'll let you know as soon as we hear something.

Update, 16:10: The service seems to be steadily live now, so perhaps the downtime is over. Let us know if it's fixed for you, too.

Are you a Dropbox fan waiting for the popular service to come back online? Let me know in the comments, or on our Facebook wall.
