Corel is
getting into the electronic commerce business with a virtual mall that lets customers purchase and download the company's stock
photography over the Net.
The productivity application vendor is making more than 60,000 photo CD images available on its mall. Each image costs $7 and is available in Kodak photo CD or JPG format.
The site uses the widely adopted SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol for encrypting transactions so that customers can securely enter purchase information, including credit card numbers, according to Corel.
