Bob Dole, former senator and presidential candidate, has joined the Recording Industry Association of America's (RIAA) legal team, an RIAA representative confirmed. Dole's role has yet to be determined. Dole becomes the latest high-profile Washington insider to join the increasingly heated battle over music copyrights and the Internet. Joel Klein and David Boies, both members of the U.S. Justice Department's litigation team against Microsoft, have joined German media giant Bertelsmann and the controversial Napster's legal team, respectively. Last November, former Clinton spokesman Joe Lockhart joined Oracle as its communications head.
