AOL to offer online phone book
America Online will offer subscribers access to Pro CD's 95 million phone listings at a special White Pages zone on the online service.
Subscribers to America Online can now access U.S. telephone listings online through a deal with Pro CD, the maker of Select Phone.
Use the AOL keyword White Pages to get to the Pro CD info bank, which includes all published U.S. White Pages and Yellow Pages listings, coded by name, address, city, state, and zip code. The list was compiled by aggregating data from more than 6,000 U.S. directories, company officials said.
Pro CD has also set up a special online store on AOL to let users order titles from the company.
