Short Take: DoubleClick promotes exec to CEO

Internet advertising company DoubleClick says Kevin Ryan is stepping up as chief executive. Ryan, who was the president and COO, will continue to run the day-to-day operations. Kevin O'Conner, the current CEO, will stay as chairman and will continue to focus on new market development and long-term strategic planning for DoubleClick. The company saw analyst downgrades last week because of expectations that its Internet advertising revenues would slow in the third quarter and into 2001.
