EFF backs Intel's digital piracy stand

The Electronic Frontier Foundation is asking consumers to show support for Intel. The civil liberties group is urging people to send a thank you letter to Intel co-founder Leslie Vadasz, who attended congressional hearings two weeks ago to criticize a bill that would give Hollywood studios unprecedented control over technology development. "Vadasz was the only technology industry representative to speak up on behalf of the public interest and consumer and business freedom," the EFF said. The group is providing consumers with a sample letter template on its Web site and asking them to copy other tech executives.
