Steve Jobs remembered in Apple tribute video

A year on from his death, Apple co-founder Steve Jobs has been paid tribute by the company in a video tribute.

The clip, which you can see if you head to Apple.com, charts Jobs' greatest hits, from the launch of the translucent iMac to the iPod and iPhone. It features black and white photos of the man himself along with audio clips from his famous tech presentations.

At the clip's conclusion a message from current boss Tim Cook appears, which begins, "Steve's passing one year ago today was a sad and difficult time for all of us.

"I hope that today everyone will reflect on his extraordinary life," Cook continues, "and the many ways he made the world a better place." Going on to describe the organisation Jobs helped construct, the new CEO says, "No company has ever inspired such creativity or set such high standards for itself."

Apple remains one of the most interesting, controversial and divisive tech companies around, notorious for its ability to polarise tech fans. But as the first commenter on last year's story put it, "I've never been a fan of Apple. I have, however, always been a fan of Steve Jobs. There is a little less genius, creativity and innovation in the world now. RIP."
