The Last of Us Part II, Ghost of Tsushima release dates confirmed by Sony
Naughty Dog's PS4 exclusive was delayed indefinitely earlier this month, but its release only slipped a few weeks to June 19.
PS4 exclusive The Last of Us Part II will be released June 19, Sony confirmed in a Monday blog post. The post followed an indefinite delay earlier this month due to the coronavirus pandemic. Ghost of Tsushima, another major exclusive, will follow on July 17.
Naughty Dog's sequel to The Last of Us, which came out on PS3 in 2013, had been scheduled to come out on May 29, while Sucker Punch's Ghost of Tsushima had been given a June release date, so their releases only slipped by a few weeks.

"I want to personally congratulate and thank both the teams at Naughty Dog and Sucker Punch Productions on their achievements, as we know it's not an easy feat to reach the finish line under these circumstances," Sony Worldwide Studios boss Hermen Hulst wrote in the post.

"Both teams have worked hard to deliver world-class experiences, and we can't wait to see what you think of them when they release in just a few short months."
On Sunday, videos from the Last of Us 2 began circulating on the internet. The footage contains some gameplay as well as multiple cut scenes filled with spoilers. Those anticipating the game will want to do their best to avoid having the game being spoiled for them.
Naughty Dog tweeted Monday to say that it's "disappointed" about the leak.
"We know the last few days have been incredibly difficult for you. We feel the same," the developer tweeted. "It's disappointing to see the release and sharing of pre-release footage from development. Do your best to avoid spoilers and we ask that you don't spoil it for others. The Last of Us Part II will be in your hands soon. No matter what you see and hear, the final experience will be worth it."
Sony Interactive Entertainment said Friday it identified the individuals responsible for the leak.
"They are not affiliated with Naughty Dog or SIE," the company said in an email statement. "We are unable to comment further because the information is subject to an on-going investigation."
