Unboxing the Canon EOS 1D X
What does AU$8000 get you in the photography world? A Canon 1D X, of course.

Canon's flagship professional SLR replaces both the 1D Mark III and 1D Mark IV, and houses an 18.1-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor. Made for sports photographers and professionals with the need for precise autofocus, the 61-point AF system has been overhauled from previous pro SLRs.
As for continuous shooting? Oh, that's just a lazy 12 frames per second, which you can hear in action in the video above. We'll have sample photos and more hands-on impressions of the camera soon, but in the meantime, head on over to the preview to find out more.
While Canon Australia no longer issues RRPs for its products, you can find the 1D X in Australian retailers in the region of around AU$6500-8000.
