Selected Apple TIL files: AppleShare IP 6.0, PowerBook G3 sound and more

AppleShare IP 6.0 is officially announced. Apple has several new TIL files covering this software. Of special interest are: Troubleshooting Installation Problems (#24573), Troubleshooting Mail Service (#24575), Troubleshooting Web & File Services (#24574), and Troubleshooting Network Connectivity (#24577).

PowerBook G3 Series: No sound after sleep (#30724) Q. Sometimes after I bring my PowerBook G3 Series out of sleep, I notice that the sound no longer works. Why is this? A. Apple has discovered an issue where after sending or receiving a fax with FaxSTF, the sound will stop working after the PowerBook has been brought out of sleep if FaxSTF is set to answer calls. Workarounds: Set FaxSTF to "Answer on never" in the Fax Browser settings. After the problem occurs, sleep the PowerBook and bring it out of sleep once again. The audio will then start working again and will continue to work until the PowerBook has restarted and the problematic scenario occurs again. Apple is currently investigating the issue.

Enhanced CDs: Audio Intermittently Stops Playing (#19112) This is an update to an old TIL with a new tidbit of information. Several problems are discussed. In some cases, a workaround is to use FWB's CD-ROM Toolkit. Use version 2.0.6 for SCSI drives and 2.5.1 for ATAPI drives.
