Rotating pizza oven keeps the pizza moving

Deni Rotating Pizza Oven features a rotating base that keeps food moving as it cooks.

Baking a better frozen pizza.

I'm afraid the search will never end. The search for delicious pizza, that is. And why would I want it to end? As they say, "getting there is half the fun." But sometimes it isn't easy. While I may lament the selection of real pizzerias in my neck of the woods, that doesn't mean I'm going to stop searching anytime soon. However, as much as I enjoy the hunt, sometimes I am ready to settle for something known to be less than spectacular.

I'm talking about frozen pizza here. As delicious as "real" pizza may be, sometimes it just isn't in the cards. That's when I reach for the freezer. Admit it. You do too. Sometimes, a frozen pizza almost hits the spot. While frozen pizza will never compare to a freshly baked pie, that doesn't mean one shouldn't strive to make the experience the best that it can be. While some may opt for cheap originality, and others may opt for quality, there is no end to the possibilities for home preparation. From pizza stones to pizza sheets, the goal is simply to elevate the frozen pizza experience.

The Deni Rotating Pizza Oven is one contraption with such a goal. Featuring a small enclosure and heating elements above and below, the oven bakes up to a temperature of 450 degrees. While the marketing behind the item may push for the pizza angle, I actually imagine other possible uses too. For example, those that are microwave-phobic, a plate of leftovers could easily be warmed up. Other suggestions, from the manufacturer, include everything from "stromboli to bagels, tortillas and fruity desserts."

For those who insist there is no place on the table for frozen pizza, well, I support you. And I don't believe you. But fear not, this little oven may be disguised as a unitasker, but the ability to create freshly baked homemade pizza pies is on the menu, too.
