QuicKeys Folders plug-in conflicts with Navigation Services?

CNET staff
Simon Fraser (author of MT-NewsWatcher) posted the following message on a CE Support newsgroup: "I'm getting reports from users that my application crashes on Quit when they have QuicKeys installed. Some say that this only happens under Mac OS 9, though I've had one report of this happening under Mac OS 8.6 as well. Sure enough, I installed the QuicKeys 4.1 demo, and I can reproducibly crash on Quit. The crash occurs after my application exits, in system cleanup code. On a hunch, I started to disable the QuicKeys plugins one by one, and discovered that with the 'Folders' plugin enabled, I crash, and without it, I don't crash. So I suspect a bug in this plugin. My application makes extensive use of FindFolder, and uses Navigation Services."

Michael Macrone confirms this, adding: "QuicKeys 4.1 'Folders' plugin causes Type 3 errors with applications that hook in to Navigation Services (e.g., Script Editor, ImageReady, MT-NewsWatcher)."
