Pinnacle TV for Mac DVB-T Stick

Two Pinnacle USB TV tuners for Mac have been launched in Australia -- the Pinnacle TV for Mac DVB-T Stick for digital TV (AU$99.95) and the Pinnacle TV for Mac Hybrid Stick for both analog and digital signals (AU$199.95).

Both models allow users to watch, record and timeshift digital TV and radio programs, while the hybrid stick can do the same with analog broadcasts and also acts as a video capture device.

The Pinnacle tuners are powered by USB 2.0 to allow high-quality video streaming to Macs, and both come with a remote control and a mini external antenna. Alternatively, you can plug in an RF cable from a standard rooftop antenna.

The USB TV sticks are bundled with Elgato's EyeTV Lite TV -- an application that essentially turns Macs into personal video recorders (PVRs) by allowing users to schedule recordings using an integrated electronic program guide (EPG) from providers such as IceTV.

Innovision was announced as the Australian distributor.
