iEvents is a completely new application being built from the ground up that will replace iCalendar for Mac. iEvents will be compatible with Mac OS 9 and the Mac OS X Classic Environment. It is "coming soon."

Office 2001 deal A Microsoft web page details a $50 rebate when you buy Office 2001. It also states that you will be able to upgrade to the OS X version of Office 2001, when it comes out, for only $149 (half-price). MacCentral notes: "This offer also extends to previous owners of Office 2001, as long as they can provide proof of purchase or ownership."

AppleWorks for Windows Think Secret claims that Apple is working on a version of AppleWorks for Windows.

MacSpeech beta testers wanted MacSpeech has issued a call for beta testers for its popular iListen speech recognition program. The company is preparing to issue its first external beta release of version 1.1 of iListen.
