Microwave thinks outside the boxy
The Whirlpool WMC20005YD MaxStar Microwave features a rounded back and can hold an 11-inch dinner plate.
Microwaves are anything but uncommon; the ubiquitous appliances have managed to work their way into practically every corner of our lives. As for actually being in the corner, the boxy shape has always been a hindrance, but sometimes the corner happens to be the best place in the kitchen to place it. So, it gets angled in, and we learn to live with the resulting wasted space. Or, one could pick up a microwave that happens to have a rounded back.
The Whirlpool WMC20005YD MaxStar Microwave is made to sit in the corner. Far from being a punishment, the space-efficient appliance lets owners maximize counter space without sacrificing usability; the 0.5-cubic-foot microwave can hold a full-size 11-inch dinner plate. Measuring just over 14 inches tall and with a width of less than 15.5 inches, the 750-watt microwave is designed to be used in areas where space is a premium.
Finding the perfect finishing touch when outfitting the kitchen can be a challenge, especially when constrained by a limited area to work within. Luckily, it's easy to make compromises, considering that so many kitchen gadgets and appliances are made for multitasking. When it comes to the microwave, its functionality is well-known: from popcorn to heating up leftovers it can't be beat--except by one that doesn't require a remodel to do so.
