Get a 480GB internal SSD for $299.99, shipped

That's nearly half a terabyte of storage from a drive that includes a three-year warranty.

Large capacity, small price.

Ready to get serious about solid-state storage? If you've looked into SSD upgrades for your laptop, you know that you can easily spend upward of $175 for a measly 128GB drive. That's fine for some users (myself included), but not nearly enough for others.

This should be enough: For a limited time, and while supplies last, Newegg has the OCZ Agility 3 480GB SATA III internal SSD for $299.99, shipped. That's after applying coupon code EMCYTZT3478 at checkout. (Note that you must be a Newegg newsletter subscriber in order to use the code.)

That's an awful lot of solid-state storage goodness for three bills. The Agility 3 offers nearly half a terabyte of space, and works with both SATA II and SATA III interfaces. It supports TRIM technology, which promises to maintain optimal performance over the life of the drive. (Without it, an SSD can slow down over time.)

The drive comes with a three-year warranty and has mostly positive reviews from Newegg customers. A few cited reliability problems, which unfortunately seems to be par for the course with any hard drive, SSD or HDD.

Me, I love SSDs. I've upgraded laptops with them and enjoyed massive improvements in performance and battery life. And with this amount of storage, you're not really compromising anything. So what do you think? Ready to make the move?

Bonus deal: Can't get your Wi-Fi signal all the way from here to there? Today only, and while supplies last, Daily Steals has the ZyXel WRE2205 Wireless-N Range Extender for $30, shipped. It's $50 over at Amazon, where the user reviews are definitely mixed, but mostly on the positive side. Note that delivery may take two to three weeks.

Bonus deal No. 2: If you missed out on it last time, "Netflix-for-magazines" service Next Issue is again offering a free three-month trial for new subscribers -- a $45 value. The service lets you read unlimited magazines (from a library of over 85 titles) on your Android or iOS tablet, and now has the same ones available for the former as for the latter. Still no Retina support, and the text-view feature just plain doesn't work (on my iPad, anyway), but it's still a great option for magazine junkies.
