Get a $217 Windows software bundle for $29

The highlight is music library fixer TuneUp Media, which normally sells for $49.95 all by itself, but there's some other worthwhile stuff here as well.

This $29 software bundle includes these six Windows apps and one more.

For a long while I've had my eye on TuneUp, a sophisticated Windows utility that promises to fix all the problems with your music library: mislabeled song info, missing album artwork, and so on. But I couldn't bring myself to pay $49.95 for it.

Even the company's current special, a 30 percent discount, seems steep.

Ah, but give me TuneUp for $29 and throw in six other programs. Now we're talking. That's exactly the deal being offered by PCBundler, which has seven Windows apps (including TuneUp) for $29.

Needless to say, I think TuneUp (here referred to as TuneUp Media) is the MVP of the group, but there's some other worthwhile stuff as well:

  • PasswordFighter - A password generator/manager, something you should definitely be using if you aren't already.
  • PCKeeper - A collection of 15 system utilities, including optimizer, file shredder, disk cleaner, and uninstaller.
  • PhotoTangler - Turns a selection of photos into a neat-looking collage.
  • Switch - A Windows shutdown manager you can activate remotely (meaning you can turn off your PC from afar).
  • Wondershare Audio Recorder - Records audio from nearly any online streaming source. (Remember, with great power comes great responsibility.)
  • Wondershare Video Converter Pro - Frequently available free of charge via Giveaway of the Day and Wondershare's own giveaways, this powerful utility converts just about any video format to just about any other video format.

All in all, a good collection, and when you factor in the combined value of $217, the $29 price tag seems reasonable indeed.

PCBundler plans to offer this for the next 14 days, so you've got time to do some research, download some trial versions, and so on before making your decision. In the meantime, if you have any thoughts to share on any or all of the bundled apps, let's hear from you in the comments!
