GameStop: Buy two used video games, get one free

If that doesn't float your boat, try this: buy one new game and get a second, used game for 50 percent off. Both deals are good until January 31.

This is an update of a post I wrote a while back.

It's the weekend, so why not stock up on some new games (well, new to you, anyway) for your Xbox, PS3, Wii, or other system? GameStop is offering a buy-two-get-one-free deal on used (sorry, "preowned") games (and accessories!) for all consoles.

To take advantage of said deal, add three items to your cart, then apply coupon code BUY2GET1. Shipping will run you $2.99, unless your cart total tops $20, in which case shipping is free. (Sales tax may still apply.) The deal ends January 31.

GameStop is also offering one used game at 50 percent off when you buy one new game; use coupon code B1G1HALFOFF to score that sweet offer.

You can mix and match on both deals: You don't have to stick with games for the same console. Thus, you could choose one game for Wii, another for Xbox 360, a third for Sony PSP, and so on. Obviously the freebie will be the one with the lowest price.

All GameStop's used titles are guaranteed to work. However, they're not guaranteed to come with a box or manual. What's more, many used games cost only a few bucks less than their new counterparts.

Of course, when you throw a free one into the mix, it all looks a lot more attractive. I might just have to score a couple new (er, preowned) goodies for the Kinect. I'm loving that thing.
