<b>AppleShare Client 3.7.2 has a "damaged resource"; other AppleShare 3.7.2 problems reported
On a 680X0 machine, Kwai found that having AppleShare Client 3.7.2 installed prevented restarting or shutting down; instead a message appears that some unknown application refuses to quit. Steve Crossman found that, after installing the 3.7.2 file, his PowerBook 5300 would not longer wake up from sleep (he would just get a gray screen and have to restart).
Update:
Mike Lewis (of Casady & Greene) writes: "The ApppleShare extension is damaged. I dropped the extension onto ResEdit, and it fixed it. Conflict Catcher correctly diagnoses the problem." Ronald Rhodes confirms this: "Open AppleShare 3.7.2 with ResEdit and you get the message about the damaged resource, but it will fix it."
At least one reader, Raul Regalado, reports not having this damaged resource problem.
