Yuneec SkyView gets you high in the sky while you're still on the ground
The HD-resolution headset gives you a first-person view from the cameras of Yuneec's highest-end camera hexacopters.
For its Typhoon H and Tornado H920 camera drones, Yuneec builds a 7-inch touchscreen right into the ST16 Ground Station controller so you can see just what the camera sees. Its new SkyView FPV headset does the same, but it's strapped to your face to immerse you in the experience.
The headset, which weighs in at 16.3 ounces (463 grams), connects to the ST16 via an HDMI cable. Inside is a 5-inch, 1,280x720-pixel resolution widescreen display that gives you a 75.5-degree field of view. It will work with any source with an HDMI output, too, so when you're not flying, you can use it to watch movies or for gaming, and you can wear it with eyeglasses as well.
The SkyView FPV headset is available to order now for $250, which converts to about £190 or AU$330.
