Type 12 Eliminator patch: a follow-up

Last time, we posted an item regarding the Type 12 Eliminator patch, which should fix Type 12 errors associated with using StyleScript in Mac OS 8.5. Dave Jackson (of Infowave) sent us the following additional information:

• The StyleScript Type 12 Eliminator patch will not address any problem that exists with PowerPrint and OS 8.5. All users of PowerPrint and OS 8.5 should be aware that as long as printing is done in "grayscale" or "full color" mode, they will not have a problem. [Despite this, several readers have claimed that the patch did eliminate printing problems with PowerPrint; it's worth a try.]
• Although the Type 12 Eliminator patch is working effectively, some users may still not be able to workaround this OS bug if Norton CrashGuard is installed.
