Toast 4.0 MP3 clicking problem:<br>

not a problem if you have a legal copy of Toast Last week, we posted information about a clicking error when recording MP3 files with Toast 4.0. There is also coverage of this (and related problems) on a MacFixIt Forums thread.

The thread includes replies from an Adaptec employee and the "developer that integrated the MP3 decoder into Toast." We have also received a reply from Victor Medina (Toast Product Manager). The consensus is that the reported bug occurs only in non-released (beta) versions of Toast 4.0 that have been illegally available on the Internet. The legitimate shipping version does not have this problem.

We were unaware that the initial reports were based on using illegal software. We apologize for this. We also wish to make it clear that we do not support the use of illegal software and will not knowingly report on any problems associated with such software.
