Software Update Servers Back Up

Several readers reported inability to access Apple's servers through the Software Update components of both Mac OS X and Mac OS 9 since early this morning.

Running the "Check Now for Software Updates" function returned the message "Software Update is not able to connect to the Internet," or "Failed. Error occured while checking."

UPDATE: The servers seem to have been restored to full functionality.
