Flash playback problems -- fix As we reported previously, the version of Flash that ships in QuickTime is older than the version available from Adobe and used in Safari, therefore it is turned off by default after installing QuickTime 7.1.3

You can turn Flash back on by opening System Preferences then navigating to the "QuickTime" pane, selecting the "Advanced" tab and choosing the option to enable Flash.

Miscellaneous problems MacFixIt reader Elisa reports a series of strange issues since updating to QuickTime 7.1.3:

"I installed the latest upgrade of QuickTime 7.1.3 yesterday evening, and since then my computer is experiencing problems like this: I can read "localized string not found" in the menus of several applications.

I can not launch applications like Eudora, Word, Excel or Powerpoint anymore. The error that I get is the following:  "The Application Eudora could not be launched because of a shared library error."

If you are experiencing similar issues, please let us know.
