Quicken 2002 Allows Multiple User File Access

Scott Rose reports a problem in Quicken Deluxe 2002 for Mac OS X that can create damaged files.

"When you open up a Quicken file on one machine, it's fine. But if somebody else on the network tries to open up the very same Quicken file, Quicken Deluxe 2002 in Mac OS X does not prevent that other person from opening up the file. In Mac OS 9, Quicken Deluxe 2002 says that the file is in use and prevents the second user from opening up the file."

Rose says that multiple user access have caused damaged resource forks in his Quicken files (rendering them useless), and that users can't see each other's modifications when simultaneously working from a single data source.
