Productivity Tip: Easily e-mail Web pages from Safari

Over the course of your day, you probably come across several Web sites that may be of interest to people you stay in contact with. Whether it's an online recipe you want to share with a friend or an interesting article about a stock you're following that business contact would enjoy, e-mailing links from Safari is quick and easy.

To send a link from a Web site you would like to share:

1. Select from the Safari menu bar > File > Mail Link to This Page
2. Apple Mail will automatically open with the title of the Web page as the subject and the URL in the body of the e-mail.
3. Simply add the address or addresses of the people you would like to share the link with and click send.

Alternative ways to send a link from Safari:

1. When you find a Web page you would like to share a link to, press (Shift Command I).
-or-
2. Drag the favicon (the icon in Safari's address bar) to the Mail icon on your dock. This will automatically open a new email message with the link to that Web page but will not add the title of the Web page to the subject line of your e-mail.

If you would like to embed the Web page in your e-mail, instead of simply sending the link, Safari has that built-in too:

1. Select from the Safari menu bar > File > Mail Contents of This Page
-or-
2. When you find a Web page you would like to share press (Command I)

Note: Keep in mind that while Mail will display the Web page in the outgoing message window as it appears in Safari, recipients may not experience the same results. E-mail is displayed differently depending on the mail client and preferences of the recipient.
