Problems publishing iCal calendars? Try removing ampersands (&) from name

CNET staff

If you are having issues with an inability to publish specific iCal calendars, receiving the error message:

"We're sorry but we cannot find the iCal you've requested. It's possible that it has been deleted or renamed,"

you may want to try removing any ampersands (&) from the calendars name.

MacFixIt reader Andrew Freeman is one reader who found that doing so allowed normal publishing of a previously problematic calendar.

Andrew writes:

"I discovered today that the calendar WAS in fact published all along. The problem? The name of the calendar had an ampersand '&' as part of the name. Removing the ampersand and I can view the published calendar without difficulty via my web browser."
