Pentax K-m: White hot or white out?
If you're the sort of person who accessorises your tech to the nth degree, Pentax has the camera for you: a limited edition white dSLR.
If you're the sort of person who accessorises your tech to the nth degree, Pentax has the camera for you.
Rather than stick to the tried and tested palette of black, black and more black, the company has announced a limited edition white version of its dSLR, the K-m. We assume that fashionistas will rejoice at the "chic French-designed aesthetic", though the AA batteries do take a little bit of the romance out of the deal.
While it's not the first dSLR-style camera to deck itself out with rainbow colours — that honour is reserved for Panasonic's Lumix DMC-G1 — we are thankful that it's not like the Swarovski-studded eyesore that our colleagues over at CNET UK spotted in the wilderness at Photokina 2008.
The price for such beauty? Expect a hefty AU$300 premium over the regular retail price for the white version, at AU$1,599 as a twin lens kit. It's available now from select camera retailers, and Australia is only getting 40, so if you want one, be quick.
Stay tuned for our full review of the Pentax K-m over the coming weeks.
