Packard Bell EasyNote Butterfly, TR series, dot m and s: Battery life not pants
Packard Bell has announced the battery-tastic EasyNote Butterfly and stylish TR-series laptops, and dot m and s netbooks
Another day, another netbook. A pair of netbooks, in fact, and a pair of laptops too. Today it's Packard Bell's turn to weigh in for the crappy-lappie scrap, with the dot m and dot s netbooks. We also get the style-centric EasyNote TR series, and 13.4-inch EasyNote Butterfly (pictured), which claims a full working day of battery life.
The Butterfly's juice is conserved by features such as a PowerSave button that shuts down the graphics card, a thrifty cooling system and optional solid-state memory. You also get a 16:9 screen, multi-gesture lockable touchpad and high-definition webcam. Options include 3G and Bluetooth, HDMI and DDR3 RAM. It can be yours from the end of June, but prices are yet to be confirmed.
The EasyNote TR series is inspired by the style of automotive design gurus Pininfarina. The TR85 boasts a 15.6-inch widescreen and Dolby Sound Room technology, for movies with cracking sound. A black version with an LCD panel will be available alongside a blue version and a black edge-to-edge version.
Shown above are the 11.6-inch dot m (pictured on the left) and 10.1-inch dot s. Both sport multi-gesture touchpads, webcams and Wi-Fi, with optional Bluetooth and 3G. The dot m is out now, while the dot s will be available in late April. m and s? We hope they're not pants.
