DVD Studio Pro 3 will not import iDVD 5 files As noted by a number of readers, DVD Studio Pro will not import iDVD 5 projects/templates. An error is generated.

Support for iDVD 5 importing is not expected until a new major release of DVD Studio Pro.

Vonage/iChat AV workaround also works for Nicecast Yesterday we noted a solution for a conflict between iChat AV and Vonage's Voice over IP solution, which both use the same network port under Mac OS X. We've since received word that this workaround also works for a similar conflict with Nicecast broadcasts.

Gerald Figal writes:

"Following up on the issue about Vonage and iChat AV conflicts, I just want to point out that the alternative set-up (cable modem > AEBS > Vonage Phone Box > Mac) also solves port mapping tangles for Nicecast broadcasts. It was impossible for me to get port mapping through the Vonage box when it was connected first to the cable modem so although I could broadcast, listeners couldn't access the stream. The alternative set-up cured that. Vonage warns that the alternative set-up does not allow the phone box to optimize voice call quality, but I've had no problem with that. All in all, I really like Vonage compared to the overpriced, under-featured BellSouth land line that I ditched."
