QuickTime and ContentBarrier A reader has been unable to use QuickTime Player 5.0.2 after installing ContentBarrier 1.2.1. The Player crashes even if you set ContentBarrier to ignore QuickTime. [See previous related report.]

Cisco on Nimda Cisco has posted a page titled: "How to protect your network against the Nimda virus."

AppleSpec update Apple has not updated its AppleSpec database since September 2000. So Jeffrey Gordon decide to update it on his own. "I added the missing data from the original database, added all the new computers, all the old Apple products (Apple I through Lisas, Newtons and NeXT machines, too)." You can check it out here.

Hot-swap and 9.2.1: a work-around Martin Smith writes: "I had the problem of not being able to hot-swap the VST internal Zip drive after upgrading to my FireWire PB G3 OS 9.2.1 (see previous coverage). VST Tech Support said there is a known conflict with Toast CD Reader 4.1.2. Sure enough disabling the Toast software seems to have fixed the problem."
