Norton Utilities 3.5 and Mac OS 8: a reason to update to 3.5.1

Norton Utilities 3.5 and Mac OS 8: a reason to update to 3.5.1

CNET staff
In the last week, I have received several emails from readers running Norton Disk Doctor 3.5 under Mac OS 8. They report receiving an odd message that says that their drive has "incorrect Finder settings that may be interfering with the normal operations of your disk." Norton Disk Doctor appears unable to fix this. It turns out that the actual problem is a bug in Disk Doctor that is addressed by updating to Norton Utilities 3.5.1. This is the only version certified by Symantec as "Mac OS 8 compatible."
