New and Noteworthy: Snerd offers Exchange 2000 client for Mac OS X; BBC comments on iTrip ban in UK

Snerd offers Exchange 2000 client for Mac OS X Snerdware has released the freeware utility AddressX 1.0, which enables one to view and search a company's Global Address List (GAL) directly from the Address Book installed with OS X.

According to Snerdware "There is no software to install on the Exchange server. AddressX is completely transparent to both OS X and Exchange. Contacts are made available on or offline and from any application that integrates with the Address Book such as Apple Mail or iCal." Snerdware was formed by a former Microsoft employee who switch to the Mac. More.

BBC comments on iTrip ban in UK The BBC has chimed in on the United Kingdom's decision to ban the iTrip, a small device that attaches to Apple's iPod MP3 player and provides FM functionality. A N Micro, the UK distributor of the iTrip, said use of the device was prohibited under the Wireless Telegraphy Act of 1949. More.
