iPod phone for cars coming? SmartHouse speculates Apple and Motorola plan to unveil a mobile phone and music player next week that will incorporate Apple's iTunes software a phone and up to 30 Gigabytes of storage. "One insider has also told SHN that Apple and Motorola have been talking to car companies including BMW about the possibility of the devices being incorporated as an OEM product into several new automotive models." Adobe-Macromedia deal close to finalization Publish reports that Adobe Systems Inc. and Macromedia Inc. announced that the stockholders of each company voted in favor of Adobe's proposed acquisition of Macromedia at their respective special stockholder meetings held Aug. 24. "Adobe launched its takeover of Macromedia in April with an all-stock deal worth $3.4 billion dollars." More.

GarageBand to add podcasting support? Podcasting News reports that an article in Harvard Business School's Working Knowledge speculates that Apple is likely to add podcasting support to GarageBand. "Apple has announced plans to support popular, prerecorded radio shows called podcasts on iTunes," notes author John Boddie. "We expect GarageBand to follow with podcast-editing tools." More.
