Apple looking to improve iPod games ExtremeiPod reports that a recent recruitment ad on Gamasutra, a site devoted to the games industry, indicates that the Apple is ready to add more and better games to the iPod. "Although the ad doesn't mention the iPod by name, it lists qualifications for the job as including ARM7 RISC processor experience - the iPod is powered by a chip from PortalPlayer based on the ARM7 design - as well as experience working with embedded systems." More.

The future of Quark Publish.com reports on the future of Quark, citing the company's inability to deliver a Mac OS X version of its flagship application for a year after InDesign's OS X release as a key fault. "In the mid-term perspective, it will boil down to which identity Quark carves out for itself. Today, most people think of Quark mainly as the publisher of a page layout program. This might well change over time." More.
