"Although the ad doesn't mention the iPod by name, it lists qualifications for the job as including ARM7 RISC processor experience - the iPod is powered by a chip from PortalPlayer based on the ARM7 design - as well as experience working with embedded systems." The future of Quark Publish.com reports on the future of Quark, citing the company's inability to deliver a Mac OS X version of its flagship application for a year after InDesign's OS X release as a key fault. "In the mid-term perspective, it will boil down to which identity Quark carves out for itself. Today, most people think of Quark mainly as the publisher of a page layout program.
