Michael Allured notes that the second Titanium PowerBook he received came with a newer version of the Software Install CD. The first PowerBook had CD version 1.1, whereas the second came with version 1.2 (the version number is printed on the CD itself). Here is what's different:
  • Energy Saver 3.0.4
  • Keyboard 8.5.4
  • Sound 8.5.4
  • Startup Disk 9.0.2
  • AMD 2.1.2
  • Apple Audio Extension 1.3.3
  • Apple CD/DVD Driver 1.4.4
  • Apple Monitor Plugin 2.0.5
  • ATI Graphics Accelerator 5.3.4
  • ATI Driver update 1.8.2
  • ATI Radeon 3D 6.1.8
  • ATI Rage 128 3D 6.1.6
  • ATI Resource manager 2.8.7
  • Carbon Lib 1.2.5 (installed, I didn't have to download)
  • DVD Navigation Manager 2.5
  • DVD Navigation Monitor NV 2.5 (was not on other system)
  • DVD Video Interface 1.0 (was not on other system)
  • DVD RuntimeLib 2.5
  • Enet ShimLib 1.5
  • Firewire Enabler 2.8.1
  • Firewire Support 2.8.1
  • HID Library 1.5
  • Internal v.90 Modem 1.3
  • Theater Mode 2.0.1 (This was not loaded on other machine)
  • URL Access 2.3 (Installed, I didn't have to update)
  • USB Device Extension 1.5
  • USB Software Locator 1.5

The following NVIDIA files were not on the first system:

  • NVIDIA 2D Acceleration 1.1.1
  • NVIDIA Driver Update 1.1.1
  • NVIDIA DVD Accelerator 1.1.1
  • NVIDIA engine 1.1.1
  • NVIDIA OpenGL 1.1.1
  • NVIDIA Resource Manager 1.1.1

It would appear based on this and other email we have received that there are now quite a few< variants of Mac OS 9.1 in circulation.
