iTunes music videos not playing video

Users trying to play music videos in iTunes may experience an issue where only the music plays but not the video. Toggling the setting to view the video in a separate window does not correct the issue, however a work around may be possible.

Users trying to play music videos in iTunes may experience an issue where only the music plays but not the video. Toggling the setting to view the video in a separate window does not correct the issue, however a work around may be possible.

Apple Support Discussions user "hawaiiinsomniac" writes:

"I downloaded the new iTunes update and now my music videos play as regular songs. I have changed my settings to play my music videos "in a separate window" and still no video playing!"

Possible work-around
As ASD user "Jim VanLeeuwen" relays, iTunes handles music videos differently since the iTunes 8.1.1 update--specifically when remote speakers are enabled on your Mac.

"If you are using remote speakers, you can only get the audio from videos. Deselect your remote speakers and use the computer speakers and the music videos will play normally."
Apple has yet to release a fix for this.
