Has Apple lost its edge?

CNET's Adventures in Tech explains why it's too soon to count Apple out of the fight, despite several years of samey gadgets.

Has Apple lost its edge? With every tiny tweak to the iPhone and modestly-modified Mac that the Californian company produces, the question hums a little louder in the heads of tech fans.

In the latest episode of CNET's Adventures in Tech, we explain why it's too soon to count Apple out of the fight -- despite a marked lack of innovation in recent years. Hit play on the video below to hear our reasoning.

New stuff, please!

There's no denying that it's been a while since we saw something completely new from Apple. In fact, not since 2010 -- when we got our first glimpse at the first iPad -- has Apple revealed a totally new kind of gadget.

While we'd expect to see something new in the next few years, however, in the video above you'll see us crunch some numbers, and explain why a new product from Tim Cook and pals isn't exactly overdue, even if competition from Google and Samsung has never been more intense.

Do you agree that Apple is far from deceased, or will the next few years see the company finally crushed by its rivals? Watch the video above, then stick your thoughts in the comments or on our Facebook wall.
