Getting Quadmation FireWire drive to mount via HDT Brian Bard writes: "I just bought a Quadmation 10GB Pocket FireWire Drive. I could not get it to mount using FWB FireWire Loader (FWB FireWire Support Lib 4.0). I could not see it at all in HDT. It was explained by FWB that some manufacturers are using a new chipset in their FireWire drives. They added: 'The fix for HDT that addresses the newer FireWire chipsets is in development. As this is a key issue, it should be available in a couple weeks time." In the meantime, Quadmation bundles Indigita's Disk Control 1.1 with the drive which installs FireWire Disk Support 1.1." CharisMac driver for Sony 145E/XI; conflict with FireWire 2.4? Paul Chernoff writes: "After suffering for a week trying to get my Sony CD-RW CRX145E/XI to work on my G4/400, I learned from Sony tech support that the CharisMac driver for the Sony drive is not compatible with FireWire 2.4. The solution is to downgrade back to 2.33 (International English version just released)."
