Exchange Server and Winmail.dat attachments

CNET staff
Regarding our recent coverage of Microsoft Exchange Server and TNAEF/rtf issues, Josh Liebster suggests:

"The first the sender(s) should do is set the message to be sent as plain text. That can be done per message, per user, or globally. See this Microsoft document for more details. It is titled: 'Winmail.dat attachments included in received messages with Outlook.' It applies to Microsoft Outlook 2000.

If that doesn't work, it may be a server setting. See this Microsoft document for more details. It is titled: 'Winmail.dat attached to all Internet messages regardless of setting on client.' It applies to Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server."
