Everyone seems to be buying the hype for the forthcoming Apple Watch, but not Stephen Colbert. He'd rather have something with a bigger screen.

At Apple's big event on Tuesday, the company announced the Apple Watch, its entrant into the ever-growing smartwatch market, to much fanfare. Stephen Colbert, however, was unimpressed.

The host of "The Colbert Report" initially (and sarcastically) feigned enthusiasm and excitement for the Apple Watch, declaring to nerds everywhere that it's finally cool to own a calculator watch. He even went as far as to smash his current watch into pieces against his desk to make room for the Apple Watch, but then went on to reveal that what he actually wanted was something a little bigger.

So, he did what anyone would do: he went to the Apple Store. Or, more accurately, he went to a guy in the alley behind the Apple Store who sold him a WristPad, the new and awesome way to secure a full-size iPad to his wrist. The WristPad has five times the screen real estate as the Apple Watch, and can even take pictures using the built-in cameras. And, what's more, it can tell the time, making it the perfect smartwatch for the bigger-is-better crowd.
