Cameron and Zuckerberg video conference: Quite possibly neither wearing trousers
The prime minister has engaged Facebook chief Mark Zuckerberg in a frighteningly awkward video conference, to discuss... well, we're not sure. Check out the video for yourself
Facebook kingpin Mark Zuckerberg and the prime minister, David Cameron, have engaged in a Web conference, inadvertently proving that awkwardness transcends all technological barriers.
The point of their chat seems to have been to encourage Facebook users to suggest ways of making public-spending savings. But the actual content of their conversation was rather... muddled.
We heard Facebook mentioned a few times, and the economy, and something about innovation. Apart from that, though, what they're banging on about is anyone's guess. It's clear they're getting along like a house on fire, however, because, at the end, David Cameron says: "This is a very good video conference." That's more or less the same sign-off we use when we call our friends and family.
Incidentally, although we have no proof, we suspect that neither party is wearing any trousers during this video conference. Zuckerberg's stony expression certainly makes us think he's hiding something.
