Aperture Special Report: Viewing the supported camera list
Aperture Special Report: Viewing the supported camera list
You can check the full list of supported RAW formats for Aperture by looking at the following file:
- /System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/
Versions/A/Frameworks/ImageIO.framework/Versions/A/Resources/Raw.plist
You can either navigate to this file in the Finder and drag it to a text editor, or use the following Terminal command to view it:
- less /System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/
Versions/A/Frameworks/ImageIO.framework/Versions/A/Resources/Raw.plist
Note that this is the absolute supported list -- even though DNG is purported to be a universal format, if your DNG-capable camera is not on this list it will not be supported by APerture.
Also note that since Aperture relies on a Mac OS X application service, adding cameras to iPhoto via unsupported hacks will also add support to Aperture.
