Valorant launches for free on June 2

The PC shooter from Riot Games has been in closed beta since April.

Riot Games' hero shooter Valorant launches on PC on Tuesday, June 2, after a two month closed beta. The beta period will end Thursday, May 28, CNET sister site GameSpot reported.

If you've been playing the beta, your account will be reset to ensure a level playing field at the official launch. After the launch, Riot will start adding fresh game modes, characters, maps and other content.

More servers -- in Atlanta, Dallas, London, Madrid and Warsaw-- will be activated to cope with the influx of new players.
